The tragic occurance in Philadelphia left one man dead and two others injured. NBC10 states the deceased person in the shooting was local Philly rapper Gillie Da Kid’s son, Cheese. After the news surfaced, social media users paid him a heartfelt tribute.

YNG Cheese reportedly dead in a triple shooting incident
A source close to Gillie Da Kid’s family reportedly confirmed to NBC10 that YNG Cheese has sadly passed away. The fatal shooting occurred on the night of Thursday, July 20.
The police have revealed that the incident took place on the 5800 block of Mascher Street at 8:24 p.m. in Philadelphia. The triple shooting claimed one life and injured two others.
The deceased was a 25-year-old man who was shot once in the back. The cops rushed him to the hospital and he was pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m. At the time of writing, the police are yet to reveal the identity of the victim, but a source reportedly close to his family has confirmed to the news outlet that it was Cheese.
The two others injured in the incident are men of the age of 28 and 31. The duo are at the hospital and in stable condition now.
Gillie Da Kid’s son was an up-and-coming rapper
For the unversed, YNG Cheese walked into his father’s footsteps and started his rap career. The young musician had accrued over 63,000 followers on Instagram. He often posted snippets of his music and family life on his account.
