Violife’s 100% vegan cheese alternatives wows Trinis
Violife has successfully introduced a range of award-winning vegan alternatives to cheese products to Trinidad and Tobago.
The items are free from dairy, preservatives, casein, lactose, gluten, nuts and soya. It is based on coconut oil and is fortified with Vitamin B12, which plays an important role in the metabolism of every cell in our bodies.
It also caters to vegetarians, flexitarians, vegans, and persons with allergies.
Speaking at a celebratory event at The Brix Autograph Collection on December 13, VEMCO’s Divisional Manager, Shelly-Ann Simon-Mckell, noted that the products were introduced to the T&T market in July. According to her, their 40ft container filled with items was sold out in a matter of weeks.
She described customers’ reactions as phenomenal.
Caribbean Manager for Upfield, Loraine Ospina, said she felt Violife would be appreciated in T&T considering the wide range of dietary needs among the population.
Moreover, she noted that Violife was good for people and the planet as she encouraged members of the public to purchase their products.
