String Cheese Incident, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, More
The String Cheese Incident will return to the hollowed grounds of Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA from June 9th–11th, 2023 to host the second annual Hog Farm Hideaway. The festival lineup, released on Monday, also includes Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon, and more.
Hog Farm Hideaway will present bluegrass mainstays like Keller Williams, Lindsay Lou, Hot Buttered Rum, Kyle Tuttle Band, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Grateful Bluegrass Boys, and more. The event will also connect with SCI’s electronic elements with performances from Papadosio and Dirtwire, as well as showcase contemporary jam bands like Midnight North, Magic Beans, and Dogs In A Pile with ample amounts of funk from The Motet and ORGŌNE.
The festival will also allow opportunities for members of String Cheese Incident to play with their various side projects, including a Bill and Jilian Nershi set with Jason Hann and a performance by Snakes & Stars, Michael Travis‘ new duo project with Aaron Johnston (David Byrne, Brazilian Girls).

Black Oak Ranch is home to The Hog Farm, one of the oldest, continuously running communes in the United States. Founded by peace activist and clown Wavy Gravy, The Hog Farm has a long history of producing and participating in iconic music festivals and events in various capacities, most notably at the original Woodstock Music & Art Fair in 1969. In more recent years, The Hog Farm co-produced Electric on the Eel and The Pignic and hosted Earthdance and The Kate Wolf Festival. Black Oak Ranch offers an intimate festival site in a majestic setting of oak woodlands, meadows, and year-round streams.
