New event in Fuerteventura:1st edition of Antigua Cheese Fair to be celebrated in December
A new event in Fuerteventura this December: the first edition of Antigua Cheese Fair will be celebrated between 9 and 11 of December 2022.
The Antigua City Council will organize the first Antigua Cheese Fair (Feria del Queso de Antigua) on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December in the Plaza de Antigua.
At the fair, there will be a showcasing of the different cheeses that are made in the cheese factories of the municipality and the island of Fuerteventura, with the participation of cheese factories from other islands of the archipelago, as well says the mayor, Matías Peña García.
The Plaza de Antigua will host the 1st Cheese Fair, financed by the Antigua City Council, which allocates approximately 50,000 euros for this purpose, in compliance with the commitment made to professionals in the sector to support their presence in the municipality and on the island.
The I Antigua Cheese Fair will offer an attractive program of performances, tastings, related tapas and contests for the participants.
