Man stole chocolate bars and cheese in spate of thefts at bargain store

A MAN has appeared in court charged with a number of thefts from t6he same Bradford shop including stealing 35 chocolate bars.
Steven Barker, 43, of Larwood Drive, Bradford, was given a nine-month conditional discharge for three charges of theft from a shop.
All of the thefts took place at B&M, Harrogate Road in Bradford.
In the first, he stole cheese, to the value of £60.30, from the store on March 22, 2023.
He was also convicted for stealing washing tablets, to the value of £50.94, from B&M Stores on March 23, 2023.
Barker was also ordered to pay £60 compensation, £85 costs and a £26 victim surcharge for stealing 35 chocolate bars at the same B&M store on March 28, 2023. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
Barker pleaded guilty to all three charges and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on May 26, 2023.
