This is one of the better spots I've had Up here for Tavern for sure One little square in this is my favorite Tavern style in the North End already For sure veto Nicks are still better Yeah that's just on another level but It's been a while since I've had Nancy's But having just recently checked that Video out I think that I like Nancy's a Little bit more than this uh-huh But it's tough to say no damn good wow There's a lot of peppers on there [Music] Let's cross those out of this world I really dig this I could eat It's thin enough I can eat this whole Pizza after getting home from the bar You know I think they're missing what Because I think veto Nicks does a great Job of some sort of herbs I know I think it just like a little bit of the Judge up the herbs afterwards it goes Such a long way and it's so inexpensive To do you know they've got them there Just like give me a little herbs and I And I feel fancy This is good though yeah I kind of think Bacon's not to move on This I think I should have this is my Fault I suggested bacon I think we Should have gotten sausage for sure dude I was gonna say I'm like a pepperoni to The Bone that's my Pepperoni's my go-to Move every time yeah I think Tavern
Style is one of the few styles of pizza I think sausage is the best yeah thing You can put on Tavern style I know That's my fault it is uh-huh Too much too much you want six or bottom Yourself too late I've been bombed Yeah that's my fault I will definitely Come back here And get sausage maybe in a live show at Some point at your apartment oh yeah we Could get this delivered like after 3 P.M or something and get like a sausage Jalapeno or something I have one more Slice I like the way they're cut too Like which I usually hate Tavern style You guys all know this yeah look at the Size of this I mean it's a little blown Out yeah there you go but this is like a Good like it's it's a little bigger Slices yeah even the middle ones are Good chunk that's a hell of a trapezoid You know too bad I love geometry shapes One of my favorite Parts about Tavern Styles when there's all these random Cuts open sesame I know I jammed some napkins in here Last time Still trying to ruin this car Immediately this key is mine now I'm Gonna do one of the dumbest things you Can do I'm gonna go to one of the slices With no Edge but you know what it's Crisping up where I don't really hate it Yeah right this type of pizza doesn't
Make me hate it and it's not overly Greasy like it's greasy like in a good Way like I want some grease like people Like ah pizza's greasing how to put a Napkin what are you nap getting the Grease Grease is a gift from God okay Yeah evap yourself if you're out there Dabbing your pizzas send me the napkins Yes that grease is still usable you Better not get you got it you'll be so Mad I'm glad Pat's lived up to it yeah so There's at least one uh Tavern style Yeah on this side of town which I've got One more to try I'm down bartoli's okay AJ told me it's one of his favorite Tavern Styles I'm in pick me up I'll Bring the napkins put sauce on here too So many of the tavern style pizzas in Chicago blend together it's like the Same thing repeated rinse repeat over And over and over and over as soon as You bite this there's just a difference Of everything right away like the Texture the shatter there's just more to It it really does stand out and it's Really hard to do in a sea of just so Many minnows be flopping around yeah This is uh this is this is like a it's a Respected fish in the game swordfish Got a weapon on its nose dude yeah I don't know my fish especially Respected fish the fish are just by Nature a disrespected animal the most
Respected looking foots is called the Clown fish yeah that's a good looking Fish it's called a clown fish you know a Little burnt on the address I kind of Like that I kind of don't hate it I'm Digging it and not hating it is as close As I get to liking anything right dude I've been obsessed with this idea that We had live on well not really live but In the moment had while doing a video That I think I edited I'm not even sure If wow I gotta zoom in if I kept them in The internet or the video or not hot Honey people are obsessed with it yeah Bro syrup on Pizza I forget which one of Us brought it up but it is like I can't Get out of my mind I want to try it so Bad it's fat enough that it sounds like Something I said And dumb enough that it sounds like Something I'd say but genius enough that Something one of us definitely said it's Stupid we don't know anything about Maple syrup I happen to know everything There is to know about maple syrup I Love maple syrup I love maple syrup on Pancakes I love of it on Pizza I'm going To take maple syrup and put a little bit In my hair when I've had a rough week What do you think holds it up somebody's Just such a like everyone's into it and It's like yeah the sweet and the yeah Savory no how about syrup how about Frosting
Yeah I don't think that'll work if I'm Being honest I'll tell you why I'm liking this pizza More and more as I eat it yeah that's a Good sign I'm really glad we did this Today though I definitely will get Sausage next time uh-huh learn it rookie Mistake what are the quintessential Tavern Style Ingredients is it that and like a a Like my banana pepper like probably not Bad Oh sausage and jar dude yeah yes that is Probably the quintessential it's so Chicago you know it's madly Toxic but you just want to put a little Bit on your pants I feel like real Chicagos don't get jardiniera on their Pizza Chicago got some on your lip here There you go look at this little like Useless triangle over here it's got like Nothing on it It's like eating chips you know what Those are great for though when you're Stuffed but you still want to eat more And you're like all right I can just get This mouth hungry yeah That's why I call my finger Is that actual hungry like where your Stomach you know you don't need no You're yeah you're full you're the act Of eating though is so fun that's so Great I love eating I'd eat forever let Me tell okay before we rate this on the
White boards out of five let's go ahead And break it down Cory you're up first I Love the crust it's one of my favorite Crusts that I've had on a Tavern side Yeah man I I think the rest of it I mean It just didn't live up to the king but You can't have that be like the Expectation every time that's at the bar Not everywhere it can be veto next you Know that's just kind of how it goes I Don't know did it get darker or Something I think that cars there was Another lights yeah man I don't know It's like it's still not like if I'm Being honest it's still not even like Top five pieces for me in the city but It's definitely top three Tavern style I've had right I think it could even be Better I think there's like opportunity To try it with other ingredients maybe Get a little less burnt see how it kind Of all turns out Um so I don't know it's kind of a Confusing one for me honestly I do wish I would have smartened up and gotten the Sashes to see if they do that sausage Layer like they do it veto and next Where it's not just parceled on top it's A whole layer of sausage all over it so I'd like to see that but from the one we Got today I am very I enjoyed it a lot But it's not like Elite pizza but it's The crisp I think that's probably the Crispiest kind of the texture wise the
