Tnuva recalls vegan cheese product after metal shards found inside

Vegan produced by a major manufacturer was recalled on Sunday due to concerns that had found their way into a “limited amount” of the product.

In a joint statement with the Ministry, manufacturing giant said they had recalled certain 200-gram packets of “Alternative Classic Sliced Yellow ” because of a “malfunction.”

It warned consumers that any packets stamped with a use-by date between February 21 and 25 of 2023 should be disposed of and that customers were entitled to a refund.

“All products go through a long process of strict checks before leaving the factory to ensure their quality in all respects. We apologize for this incident,” said.

In August last year, a Tnuva customer found a in a packet of Sunfrost frozen green beans, and parts of a snake and a dead snail were found in two other separate incidents, causing a recall of the product.
