The Drum | Ad Of The Day: This Odd Musical Set In A Handmade Cave Is An Ode To Blue Cheese

It’s for the brand Treasure Cave and was directed by Swedish filmmaker Andreas Nilsson, well known for his music videos.

Blue cheese is a divisive product and manufacturer Treasure Cave is leaning into this feeling with an upbeat-yet-strange ad.

Set in a dank and dingy cave, a group of crooning friends gathers around a piano to sing about their love for, and the process of making, blue cheese.

The set was completely handmade with each character bringing their own little bit of charm. There’s Hank who hangs upside down, a beret-wearing cocktail-sipping woman and one science-loving man who lurks in the background.

Along with the ad, the brand has also updated its packaging that leans into its cave-aged heritage.
