Tesco Pulls Own-Brand Grated Cheese Off Shelves Over Safety Fears

Tesco has pulled its own-brand grated cheddar cheese from supermarket shelves over safety fears.

The supermarket giant issued a warning to customers and recalled its 500g Creamfields grated cheddar product, with a best before date of March 23, 2023.

There are fear some could contain ‘small pieces of clear soft plastic’.

A product recall poster read:

‘We’re recalling one date code of Tesco Creamfields grated cheddar 500g.

‘This is because it may contain small pieces of clear, soft plastic, which could make the product unsafe to eat.’
