Reading Cheese Feast in pictures: A weekend of ‘food heaven’

The three-day event, organised by Blue Collar, is being held in Forbury Gardens from yesterday (Friday, April 28) to tomorrow, Sunday, 30.

traders are offering a variety of options including gourmet toasties, macaroni and boards during the three-day festival.

There is something for everyone – even those who don’t eat cheese – with a popular bar tent, fresh churros, brownies, tapas, Thai .

Reading speciality coffee roasters, , are on hand with hot drinks and iced coffee all weekend.

Speaking to visitor, Lucy Marlow, 21 from Reading, she described the event as “the ideal place for lovers and anyone who wants to enjoy the sunshine in a beer tent really. It’s .”

Reading-based cheese, beer and spirits shop, The Grumpy Goat, are hosting the cheese produce area which is open from 11am to 6pm, today (April 29) and tomorrow.

Live performances include an ABBA tribute band, a showcase from local dance schools, a seven-piece band performing Eurovision hits and ‘Barrioke’ – karaoke hosted by Eastenders Shaun Williamson.

The event is free to attend and will run until 10.30pm today and 11am to 7pm tomorrow.
