Public told not to eat artisan cheese brand after listeria death

officials are warning the public to avoid a semi-soft British after a person died in a outbreak.

Consumers have been told not to eat Baronet cheeses made by The Old Room, in Wiltshire, that are the subject of a recall, after “exceptionally high levels” of the were found in some cheeses.

The said: “The cheeses are sometimes served sliced from a deli counter, so it may not always be clear whether you have purchased an affected product.

“If in doubt, consumers are advised to contact the retailer to find out if the Baronet they have purchased is from the businesses and batches affected and in the meantime to not eat the product.”
