Pizza Hut breaks Guinness World Record by making world’s largest pizza with 3,990 kg of cheese, 6192 kg dough

The standard size of a large pizza is anything between 12-18 inches, depending on the country.

While it can go up to 18 inches, the standard size of large is mostly 14 inches. That’s what most pizza chains around the world follow.

The definition of large in the Pizzadom has just been redefined by Pizza Hut.

The restaurant chain is now the proud holder of a Guinness World Record after making a pizza that spanned nearly 14,000 square feet in Los Angeles on January 18.

Yes, they have made the world’s largest pizza with the help of YouTuber Airrack (Eric Decker), according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

The gigantic pie was made using 13,653 pounds of dough, 4,948 pounds of sweet marinara sauce, more than 8,800 pounds of cheese, and nearly 630,496 pepperonis. The whole thing was assembled, topped, and cooked at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The record-breaking pizza was made in honour of the return of the “The Big New Yorker” . As 68,000 pieces of pizzas were created, the assembly was later donated to local charities.

The size of the pie made the difficult, It had to be prepared in sections using a mobile broiler before being divided into 68,000 slices.

The previous record for the world’s largest pizza was set in 2012. It was a gluten-free pizza that was created by a group of chefs from Italy. It measured 13,580 square feet.
