Nick Jonas starred in a Chuck E. Cheese commercial when he was a child: ‘It was pretty cool!’
Two-time Grammy nominee Nick Jonas just revealed that he starred in a national commercial for Chuck E. Cheese when he was around seven years old in the nineties.
The 30-year-old boybander said the CEC gig was one of the two most coveted jobs for a child actor auditioning in the Northeast – after the Hess Toy Truck holiday spot, which he was ‘so mad’ he ‘never got.’
‘I got to do this cool thing where I’m sitting on, like, the Skee-Ball thing, and I threw [the ball] behind my back, and it went up and went into the thing,’ Nick recalled on Friday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

‘And we did the first shot, and I actually got it in, because there were going to, like, CGI it. I got a high five from the director and from Chuck E. Cheese himself. It was pretty cool. And they gave me a thousand tokens which is, like, equivalent to $2.’
The children’s entertainment center and pizza restaurant chain – created in 1977 by Atari’s co-founder Nolan Bushnell – nearly went bankrupt during the COVID-19 pandemic after slipping into $1-2B in debt.
During his appearance on the daytime talk show, Jonas announced that the Jonas Brothers have completed recording their sixth studio album and they’ll be going on tour later this year.
The tour will mark the first time the Texan-born, New Jersey-raised triple threat and his wife of four years – The Matrix Resurrections actress Priyanka Chopra – will bring along their daughter Malti Marie, who turned one on Sunday.
