Date Set For 12th Annual Wine, Cheese And Trees Fundraiser

, IL — The 12th annual , Cheese and Trees has a date for 2023. The to help plant trees in will take place Feb. 25.

A joint venture between the Natural Resources Committee of , the Park District Foundation and the Library Foundation, the event will once again be held live from 7-9 p.m. at the , 227 S. Seventh St. It’ll be the first time in two years that the event will be held in person after the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the going virtual twice.

“The groups help rebuild the urban canopy of our City, connect people to nature, and support philanthropy through this fundraiser,” the event website reads. “The trees we plant today and education we provide will improve the environment within and around Geneva for all residents.”

Admission to Wine, Cheese and Trees varies between $35 and $120. The former price pays for one person’s admission, while the higher price accounts for four people’s admission. All tickets include three wine pours, appetizers and cheese pairings.

Six varieties of wine, thanks to The Uncommon Find in the Berry House and Geneva Wine Cellars, will be served.

Live auction items and raffles will include craft beer from Solemn Oath Brewery and Two Brothers Brewing, a $400 gift card to St. Charles-based Bike Rack, pool memberships and a lottery ticket tree. Several more raffle prizes are yet to be announced.

Locals interested in donating to the cause can also do so through the fundraiser’s website, which allows users to make donations ranging from $25 to $500.
