When you think of Idaho, you don’t typically think of cheese. But after you visit Manwaring Cheese in Idaho Falls, that may change. This cheese factory has been creating some of the best cheese in Idaho since 1955, and believe us, you will want to try it. From cheese curds to blocks of cheese to even grilled cheese sandwiches, your favorite dishes will level up thanks to this cheese haven.
Manwaring Cheese is located on Eastern Avenue in Idaho Falls. It is not a large and flashy store, but it is one that you will not want to miss.
Manwaring Cheese has been creating some of the best cheese in Idaho for more than half a century and is a must-visit destination when in southeastern Idaho.
Basil Manwaring opened Manwaring Cheese in 1955 in Ashton. Throughout the years it has moved to multiple locations, but in 2019, the cheese factory moved to its current location in Idaho Falls.
Every Tuesday through Friday, fresh cheese is made in-house and is available to purchase. There are nearly two dozen flavors to choose from including unique flavors like Hell Fire, Dill, Garlic Pepper, Bacon Jalapeno, and Cajun.
You can even come into the Idaho Falls store and watch the cheesemakers at work. It’s quite a sight to see and it may make you crave the cheese here even more!
While there are a variety of cheese products on the shelves, Manwaring Cheese is known for one thing — cheese curds. You can choose from large or soft curds — just make sure you purchase enough to share.
