You guys welcome back to number six with Cheese after hours today we're in Logan Square at Union for a burger we each got The same thing pumped to try it review It do the whole number six with cheese Thing also guys we're doing a merch Shout out for Brian Jackson he bought Himself sunglasses the D tomato Everything sticker the uh jump cut Sticker and then also a trucker hat so Thanks for making all those purchases And anybody wants a binding just go to Number six with cheese.com all right Time to start the episode ready A couple of burgers from Union in that Bag acquired this is called the jump cut This is a Cory Wagner second angle all Right so it says lardon but don't be Confused that's not the restaurant They're connected they're probably the Same ownership so there's the burger Here's what we got what's on here eight Ounce brisket Patty two-year aged Wisconsin cheddar fried onion strings Bone marrow aioli brioche and a crispy Oh it comes with the the Yukon potatoes They look great all right here we go First point coming in Union's Burger Cheers Hmm I've got flavors great first bite The Bun's a little bunny but it also Smashes down pretty well so pretty Manageable and it's not too bad I like To roll these crunchy onions yeah
Crunchy onions those are nice the Burger's a little thick for my usual Liking but the flavor ends up being Really good I mean yeah you're right Like it's definitely not Smash Burger But good cheese coverage this aioli Getting to globet on there because they Give you a lot of it to add this might Be my new favorite thick Burger in the City I like going in London own an Engine pretty good but I think I like This better this is damn good wow so What was the vibe of that place in there Like pubby or is it more like nice sit Down nice very nice this kind of seems Like a little bit of an upscale burger Like the way it's put together yeah so It looks like it's lardon and that spot Are connected a little dumb if they end Up watching this the Google listing says You can order takeout from Union but When you click on the the button to Order takeout it takes you to lard eye I Hate that so yeah it's just confusing It's kind of annoying to me it just puts A bad taste in my mouth a little bit I Think that stuff is like really easy to Make simple like I think like when you Look something up click talking over Ordering it I think it all should be Very simplistic I don't like the Condescending like well technically this Is this business but we we're also no I Like that make it easy or just have your
Stuff together like if you want to do That I love that it's like a fun way to Like it's like albums right sometimes You make a good song and you know it Doesn't fit the vibe of your album Maybe This Chef hey I've got this food I want To make but it doesn't fit this menu I Like the idea but then just have your Your stuff together you know what I mean Absolutely and also like most people Clicking over and seeing that they're Not going to assume it's the same Company they thought there was an error That happened that you're like now in a Random restaurant that's what I thought I called the Nash it's funny we've Reviewed that place yeah I wonder what We got we got the burger or what all Right guys let's get this food review Going two of the Reubens from lardon Acquired jump cut this is really good Great burger yeah the food's fantastic These potatoes are very different like They're kind of more those like the full Potato like the small ones but smashed And then fried my first one was so Crunchy the crunchy parts are really Good and then when it's just like the Baked potato yeah not time-born yeah I Mean interesting to do that those Instead of fries probably that's Different so you said this was 20 bucks Yup okay all right pretty good yeah I Mean really great little box of food
Here I feel like you you went in there You ordered because you can't order over The phone yeah I'm ready pretty quick Yeah not bad I feel like you weren't in There too too long there's a real good Burger though Real quick shout out to people who give Super thanks this is a quick one it's Only two uh well two shout outs one Person Derek Boudreau and Derek Boudreau Again that's back to back video she's Always dropping super things uh you're a Hero thanks dude I would love to know How many total he's done like amount Right Lots right I can't count that high Right right right right right a couple Of cool looking Idiots all right before we go ahead and Rate that burger we've had a lot of Local Burgers here in Chicago we'll rate That one compared to the other ones We'll uh we'll do it on the whiteboards Out of five but first it'll break down Then we'll get into it Corey take it Away um really the flavors to me are Kind of what made everything go what a Dumb thing that's why we do food reviews It's always the flavor was a big part of It always the flavors yeah man no it's The flavors I don't know I usually think Like those thicker Burgers aren't as Flavorful they're just usually missing Something but this one with like I put Maybe the garlic is supposed to only go
With the potatoes I don't know but I Threw it up on there yeah well all the Flavors with the cheddar and then those Onion strings it all kind of came Together was just delicious and a lot of Times those thick ones and that like the Bun look bigger but it smushed down Those seem like they're gonna be a lot To handle but that was actually super Manageable and super flavorful and Really delicious and probably my Favorite thick Burger in the city 20 Bucks is a lot when you think about just Getting a burger and a side but like That really did kind of feel to me like A little bit more of a high-end burger Like they seem to have like crazy Attention to detail for a bigger Patty Like that was still on like the smaller End of a big patty to me yeah so it's Kind of more leaning that way you can Tell just because you get your jaw Around it I could get myself some place As you can you can't you gotta on hand And it hurts or yeah take like two Levels yeah so I like the fact you can Get all the bites on it still even Though it's a bit bigger overall that Really was fantastic like a very good Tasting Burger very good Um so yeah I guess it's now it's time to Numerically rate this bad boy yeah all Right Alex Trebek bump that track and Have them thank you sir
