Gordon Ramsay is on a mission to redeem himself after a culinary fail. In a recent Instagram video, the British chef addressed the backlash he received for his grilled cheese sandwich tutorial from 2020. Fans criticized him for using the wrong types of cheese, thickly cutting the bread, and not properly melting the cheese. Ramsay acknowledged the criticism but expressed his determination to make a better grilled cheese this time around.
In the video, Ramsay revealed that he would be using a more powerful oven, which happened to be a unique and sexy V12, 1,200 horsepower engine. The camera then showed a sleek midnight blue Aston Martin sports car. Ramsay assembled the sandwich, wrapped it in aluminum foil, and placed it on top of the car’s engine. He closed the hood and revved the engine as he took off around the race track.
After a few laps, Ramsay retrieved the sandwich and shared the video on Instagram. However, some fans were disappointed that the video cut before revealing the results of the grilled cheese. Despite this, Ramsay’s followers enjoyed the high-octane sandwich-making stunt.
In addition to his grilled cheese redemption, Ramsay will soon have another redemption as his popular series Kitchen Nightmares returns to Fox after a decade off the air. The show, which originally ran from 2007 to 2014, followed Ramsay as he helped struggling restaurants. Ramsay explained that he decided to cancel the show after a frustrating experience with a British guy running a ski resort in the South of France. The Kitchen Nightmares reboot is set to premiere on September 25th on Fox.
